“Hi, my name is Lukas Darling, and I graduated from Forest Hills Northern High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This fall I will attend Michigan State University to pursue a degree in Nursing, with the goal of becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). I have been a referee for 3 years, which has helped strengthen my communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.”

Ford Fauson
“My name is Ford Fauson and I graduated from Forest Hills Central High School. I started refereeing when I was 13 years old. Next year, I plan on attending Ithaca College to study Sports Media and play football. Being a referee has ben highly influential in my life and I hope to get certified in New York to be able to continue refereeing throughout college.”

“My name is Brandon McCloud, and I graduated from Bedford Senior High School in Temperance, MI. This spring I plan on attending the University of Toldeo, majoring in Finance.”

Trevor Nagra
“My name is Trevor Nagra. I graduated from Mattawan High School. I have been refereeing soccer for 4 years. My plan is to attend Michigan State University, where I will major in Graphic Design and Sports Marketing. My goal is to combine my love for sports with my creative abilities by working in sports marketing or branding.”

“My name is Mya Pickerel and I graduated from Canton High School and will be attending Otterbein University in the fall. I will major in Primary Education and play soccer for Otterbein. I have been refereeing since I was 13 years old and plan to continue my education, athletic, and referee careers in Ohio!”

Edziu Lis
“Hi, my name is Edziu Lis, and I graduated from Notre Dame Preparatory School in Pontiac, MI this spring and plan to attend Northern Michigan University to study Criminal Justice. I have been a USSF referee for 4 years, since the fall of 2021. Officiating has become far and away my greatest passion over the course of the past 4 years. I plan to continue refereeing throughout and after college, with aspirations to eventually upgrade to a regional referee and beyond.”

Landen Maffetone
“My name is Landen Maffetone and I graduated from Utica High School. I started reffing when I was 13 years old and have been regularly reffing for the past 5 years. I am currently an intern at Heritage Church and work at Life Time as a lifeguard. I am headed to Central Michigan University in August to double major in Entrepreneurship and Communications. I am looking forward to my future at CMU and reffing in Mt. Pleasant!”

“I graduated from Royal Oak High School this year and will be attending Michigan Technological University in the fall, majoring in Mechanical Engineering Technology. I have been refereeing for 6 years.”

Reena Natla graduated from East Lansing High School and will be attending the University of Michigan, majoring in Political Science on a Pre-Law track. She has been refereeing soccer for 6 years.

“Hi! My name is Madi Schindler and I graduated from Berkley High School. I started reffing when I was 14 and have continued to referee for the past 4 years. Next year I’ll be attending Western Michigan University! I look forward to continuing my reffing career as it’s already been rewarding and educational.”
